Service is good and prices are good. I want to try more things on their menu for sure after Sunday brunch but wouldn't get the same thing again. The toast was delicious, eggs were overcooked, and the sweet potato hash was just odd. Will give more chances to this place for sure though because of the location and lots of menu options.
Cozy little shop by the beach. We ordered a slice of the Tiramisu and a slice of the Chocolate torte. They were delicious. The tiramisu was light and so good. The chocolate torte was decadent and a perfect choice for the chocolate lover. They also have a great coffee selection. Hot or iced coffee, espresso, lattes, and quite a few flavored syrups to chose from as well.
We fell in love w this little place and dined three days in a row there. It was beyond good!!! The food was so fresh and well prepaid and the DESSERTS were to die for!!! We brought some home as well. We will be back. Coffee was great and the feel of the place is relaxed and laid back. A must try!!
Desert first is now old birds cafe! Original owner and St Augustine Old bids owners now co own! Great food as always.
I wasn't so excited at first..but I was with a group of 6 and everything we all got was very good. And yes the desserts were beautiful and even more tasty. Try the apple pie bread pudding..oh my.
Service was great, food was even better!
Odd Birds Cafe food is good, but terribly unorganized and understaffed. After waiting 35 mins for our order, I went back to the counter to find out they lost our ticket! So overall, a 45 minute wait for our food. Heard similar experiences with the other tables around us.Besides that, at 11am on Sunday, the displays were bare! Also out of several basic bread choices. Not ready for prime time.
Support Locals here! Super relaxed environment with great vibes located in Camachee Cove near Vilano Beach. I had the Super Sassy Grilled Cheese on Sourdough with bacon, cheddar, goat cheese and strawberry datil pepper sauce. OMG Amazing! The tea that they offer here has an awesome mission. Reach deep into yerba mate culture and you'll discover people have long gathered to imbibe mate to awaken the mind, perform extraordinary feats and exchange confidences.
Had a sweet 16 party there. Everything tasted great!
Living up to its name, the desserts at Dessert First Bistro are fantastic, but I'm here for the Bistro! We've had both breakfast and lunch here and loved every bite. The homemade biscuits are on point and the bacon is unreal good.
Delicious fresh food. Quaint and clean atmosphere. Staff is awesome!!!!
Excellent food and amazing desserts! Love this place
This place was recommended by the staff of Florida Water Tours after we had been on a dolphin watching tour. If you show them your receipt showing that you took a boat tour they will give you 10% off your bill. The place is cute. It has a reading nook. I got the Boulangerie Pork Croissant. Pulled pork, Swiss cheese, avocado, and insane house made remoulade on a croissant. It was fantastic! My husband ordered the biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was homemade which is nice but, it was really dense and the gravy wasn't your average sausage gravy. It was more like milk gravy with some sausage thrown in. It wasn't bad. It was just different. The staff was nice. The cook struck up a conversation with my husband while I was in the restroom before we left. I recommend it. GET THE PORK CROISSANT!
This place has the best of everything...in door and outdoor dining..great staff
Great baked goods and breakfast sammies. Cozy and contemporary atmosphere. A bit on the expensive side for what it is but everything is made from scratch so you certainly get what you pay for.
A great place to get a nice pick me up for dessert and coffee. They serve Bold Bean coffee here. I did notice that they have other food options e.g., breakfast and lunch options. I actually drove out my way here. I had the peanut butter chocolate torte and the d fashion. I highly recommend the old fashion. It has chocolate and yellow cake. It's prepared well and I would buy this again if I am in the neighborhood. One only item is that it is a little more "out of the way" to get to this location and going back you will hit congestion especially during the weekends with tourists.
I have been coming here ever since it opened. However, it recently has gone downhill. Food is still fabulous, but they need to have more people working. There is usually one person making the food and one person running the food, stocking, and taking orders. I’ve come in several times recently and waited in line for over 10 minutes without being greeted or anybody’s order being taken because of the staffing situation. Many people, including myself, have just left in frustration. Additionally, hopefully it is just because of the low staffing levels, the cook is not wearing gloves and is touching all the food and brushing her hair back without washing her hands. That is a major health code violation! And really disgusting! As much as it pains me, I probably won’t be coming back.
While the other big chain breakfast restaurants have wait times and people sitting on top of each other Dessert First Bistro offers a great atmosphere, great food and great location, at the West end side of the Vilano bridge is the place to eat breakfast in St Augustine
Friendly staff, delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend. We ate here multiple times on vacation because the food was so good. The Boulengerie Pork Croissant was our favorite. The crunchy tiramisu and flourless chocolate cake were delicious and well.
The breakfast I ate here was seriously the best I've had in all of Florida. The English muffins were light, crispy and perfectly buttery, the taters and bacon exquisitely crispy, and the eggs were as fluffy as a cloud on a bright summer day. The coffee from the carafe, a beautiful locally roasted and brewed dark black punctuation mark to a hand written poem of taste made real on a breakfast plate.Eat here.
Stopped here while on vacation while waiting for our tour boat to board. The sandwiches were delicious and big! Service was great and the desserts were the best! Will definitely be stopping back again our next visit to Florida.
In addition to desserts, they also have good sandwiches!
